Hello, and welcome to my portfolio!

I'm a game artist and designer with a passion for creating and telling a good story! My strengths lie in art and design, but I'm trained when it comes to programming as well. I've been the integral part of project teams where I strive to bridge the gap between the artistic and techinical sides of game-making. I think the best part is when everything comes together in the end to make something truly spectacular.

Mushroom Kid's Big Grass Sword is an award-winning physics-based precision platformer that follows Mica, a little mushroom, on a journey to save their village from a giant bird with a sword that grows!

  • My role: Lead Artist, Designer, Animator
    I make sure all of the game art is planned out, cohesive, and fits the unique style of the game. I also handle in-engine art implementation; UI, UX, and marketing art; as well as helped out with general level design and pacing.

Trampolinko

Trampolinko is a mobile Peggle-like arcade game where you draw trampolines on the screen that bounce the ball upwards into the pegs. With satisfying physics and many different peg layouts, strive for a high score!

  • My role: Artist/Technical Artist, UI/UX
    I created all the art for the game, designed the general layout of the gameplay and menus, and I worked on implementation.

Trampolinko

Rock On, Raccoon!

Duration: May -> August 2023

Rock On, Raccoon! is a mobile rhythm game where you play as a raccoon garage band and battle other animal bands in order to become rock stars and reclaim your turf! Play through 5 different genres of music beat mapped at 4 different difficulties, and aim for a high score!

  • My role: Artist, Designer, Animator
    I was the team's UI/UX artist, animator, and character designer. I also contributed to the design team by creating the Google Sheets system for planning and exporting beat maps with a very helpful system that made mapping easy to visualize.

Etch-A-Fetch

Duration: November -> December 2022

Etch-A-Fetch is a small collectathon webgame where you use the famously confusing Etch-A-Sketch controls to control your line and pick up as many stars as you can before time runs out! There's also a free draw mode where you can doodle to your heart's content.

  • My role: Solo Project
    I coded the game and website from scratch, as well as made the assets and designed the UI.

Puck Duck

Duration: February -> May 2022

Puck Duck is a small puzzle game where you collect stars by tactically pushing Puck Duck around an air hockey table to its goal through various obstacles!

  • My role: Co-Team Lead
    I programmed various systems such as the pistons, the movement of the duck, and made most of the art assets in the game. I also designed a tool in Google Sheets that made designing the levels with a visual aid much easier.
